Cooperative Farmstead & Nature School

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. Creating community is what we’re all about. At our nature and farm-based setting in Woodford, Virginia, we offer small group programs for home educated kids ages 3-18 and their families. We’re dedicated to supporting families by making outdoor education accessible and breaking down any barriers that might stand in the way. Out here, we provide Waldorf inspired academic enrichment, nature studies, handwork and primitive skills. Our mission is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills, all while fostering a deep love for learning, community and the natural world.

  • " Peace of Earth has provided our twins with a previously unrealized connection to nature. Their thoughtful, whole child approach, aligns with our family's philosophy of respectful, positive learning. We lean in to the idea that we can all learn from each other, no matter our age or our history. Our kiddos have varied learning styles, and we are immensely grateful that Peace of Earth fosters and facilitates many different learning styles and methods. We feel very lucky our family is able to be a part of this amazing school."

  • " We were looking for a nature and play based preschool and Earth Keeper's exceeded our expectations. I am grateful for their focus on relationship building, conflict resolution, life skills and risk assessment. He is learning so much in a hands on, playful and fun way that appeals to his curiosity. I love that this learning takes place outdoors where he loves to be and allows more independence and movement. "

  • " The teachers are all wonderful - friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and clearly love what they do. They always greet Levi with a smile and he feels welcomed and loved. "

  • " My life is so much easier because my kids go here. I am so thankful for this school and the peace of mind it gives our whole family. "
