Learning within a community is central to unlocking the potential in teens. By granting them agency, we ignite motivation and provide them with essential experiences and life skills.

We believe in holistic education, which views students as whole individuals rather than just academics. This philosophy emphasizes the importance of nurturing a student's social, emotional, and ethical well-being alongside their academic success. Our team is dedicated to developing each of these aspects for learners in the collective.

the program

The Teen Learning Collective serves homeschooled teens aged 13 and up, offering a distinctive, cooperative and individualized learning experience every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm with 1, 2 and 3 day per week attendance options.

the natural classroom

Nestled on a scenic 10-acre cooperative farmstead in Woodford, VA, our program immerses students in a rich, natural learning environment. With winding trails, nature spaces, treehouses, gardens and a variety of farm animals, the setting fosters adventure, curiosity, and meaningful connections.

Each day, we focus on creating a strong sense of community and developing leadership skills through group work and reflections.
