Co-op
We are currently at capacity for our 2024-2025 co-op. You may fill out this form to be contacted about future openings.
We are a close-knit community of parents and learners who meet every Monday from September to May at noon, and at 9:30 am during the summer. Our program offers a 100% outdoor play and learning environment on our farm and forest. Upon arrival, we enjoy playtime, snacks, and socialization, followed by lessons and free time until departure.
We value learners' autonomy and interests, tailoring our lessons accordingly. Our communication is facilitated through a private Facebook group for sharing and planning, and a group text for quick updates. As a cooperative, teams of adults plan and deliver engaging monthly units. Planning is collaborative, with three families per month creating content for the three age groups (5-7, 8-10, 11-14). Lessons are typically around 30 minutes, designed to spark interest, play, or further exploration.
We aim to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment, addressing conflicts together and modeling conflict resolution. We support one another, giving when we can and asking for help when needed.
We maintain a technology-free environment for children.
Beyond our weekly meetups, we regularly organize field trips, camping excursions, mom’s gatherings, and seasonal celebrations.
We cherish our intimate setting, limiting our group size accordingly for a maximum of 40 children.
There is no cost to join, but we do ask for a commitment to regular attendance, as our community thrives on consistency, fostering deep connections and growth among learners and parents.
Please note, this is not a drop-off program; adults are expected to actively guide and support learners and build meaningful connections with other adults.
