Teens Thrive Program: Empowering Local Youth

At Peace of Earth, we’re cultivating more than just the land—we’re helping teens uncover their potential, grow as leaders, and thrive in their communities.

what is the teen thrive program:

  • The Teens Thrive Program is designed for youth ages 14–19 who are ready to develop leadership skills, workplace readiness, and environmental STEAM expertise through hands-on learning. Participants gain valuable experience, foster community connections, and explore their passions while building confidence and resilience.

    Graduates of the program are eligible for our Junior Team Member positions—paid, part-time roles offering mentorship and real-world experience to help prepare for future success.

program details:

  • Summer Session: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9 AM–3 PM, July 1–August 14

  • Fall Session: Wednesdays, 9 AM–3 PM, September–December

  • Spring Session: Wednesdays, 9 AM–3 PM, January–May

    (optional participation in the Learning Collective in Fall & Spring.)

    Additional Requirement: 20 hours of experiential learning outside program hours.

    Thanks to a generous grant, the program is being offered at just $500 for its first year!

  • This program is open to 8 teens per session. To be considered:

  • Submit an Application: Complete our online form to start the process.

  • Attend an Info Session: Learn more about the program and ask questions.

  • Interview with Us: Selected candidates will be contacted via email for an interview.

Jr. Team Member Positions: Pathway to Growth

Graduates of the Teen Thrive Program are eligible to apply for Junior Team Member roles—paid part-time positions that provide mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to apply newly acquired skills within the Peace of Earth community.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Facilitation: Assist mentors in leading activities like gardening, farm tours, and STEAM workshops for younger participants.

  • Operations Support: Help with daily tasks, including animal care, crop harvesting, and market stand setup.

  • Community Engagement: Represent Peace of Earth at events and workshops, building connections with families and the broader community.

Opportunities & Benefits:

  • Earn paid stipends for your contributions.

  • Attend monthly meetings for continued learning and team collaboration.

  • Receive ongoing mentorship from staff and community leaders.

  • Develop advanced leadership, workplace, and communication skills.

  • Proceeds will go toward scholarships for our teens to participate in development opportunities of their choice.
